Since opening our doors in 2007, Rural Care Australia (Chaffey Aged Care) has delivered the very highest standard of care and is now positioned as a regional leader in the delivery of residential aged care services. Staff and volunteers at Chaffey pride themselves on respecting our care recipients’ choices by including them in decisions about their care and how it is delivered. Rural Care Australia provides residential aged care and respite services for up to 100 care recipients.
In January 2021, Rural Care Australia opened Generations Early Learning, one of Australia’s first rural Intergenerational Early Learning Centres. Generations Early Learning is located on-site with Chaffey Aged Care. Our intergenerational program provides tailored intergenerational experiences for our care recipients and children. Generations Early Learning is a 72-place long daycare facility caring for children from 6 weeks to 6 years with a Kindergarten program for children aged 3-6 years.
Rural Care Australia also operates Bingarra Units. Bingarra Units comprises 26 units over three campuses in the township of Merbein, providing accommodation for people aged over 65 years.

Chaffey Aged Care specialises in caring for our regions elderly and is one of the largest Residential Aged Care facilities in the region with a strong reputation for providing quality care and a sense of community. We believe in person centred care and our focus is to make a difference to every resident, every day.
Care comes in many different formats and with a friendly, dedicated and professional team of qualified registered nurses, enrolled nurses and personal carers and now our own Allied Health professionals providing Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy pain management and mobility assessment for our residents. All of our staff are dedicated to achieving positive outcomes for our residents and managing their changing care needs. Chaffey Aged Care provides the highest standard of care in the following areas – High Needs Care, Dementia Specific Care, Low Needs Care and Respite Care.
Living at Chaffey Aged Care is like a home away from home, residents are encouraged to personalise their private bedrooms which overlook the landscaped courtyards or the many beautiful garden spaces that surround the facility as well as a local vineyard and the Merbein common.
There is always an array of activities or an event for residents to get involved in. Our wonderful home style cooked meals are served in our newly extended and refurbished main dining room, with magnificent views overlooking the river flats and newly landscaped gardens.
